DOCTOR OF ACUPUNCTURE & ORIENTAL MEDICINE | INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE SPECIALIST

Dr. Joseph Clarke is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and integrative medicine specialist with advanced training in functional and botanical medicine. He holds both a master’s and doctorate in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture and maintains multiple national and state board certifications.

Dr. Clarke serves on the Board of Directors and as a Professor at Dragon Rises College in Sarasota, Florida. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine and a nationally certified yoga teacher, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

His clinical training includes extensive study in Functional Medicine with Dr. Datis Kharrazian and Dr. Nasha Winters. Dr. Clarke’s areas of focus include functional blood chemistry, neuroendocrine health, oncology support, nutritional therapeutics, and advanced botanical medicine. He integrates traditional East Asian medical frameworks with modern functional diagnostics to develop individualized treatment strategies.

Dr. Clarke is a medical advisor for Pure Health Research, founder of Copacetic Health Institute in Sarasota, Florida, and was the co-founder and CEO of Elysia Life Care in Santa Monica, California. His clinical philosophy emphasizes outcomes-based care, structured treatment planning, and patient education.

Through clinical practice, teaching, and leadership, Dr. Clarke is dedicated to advancing integrative medicine and supporting patients in achieving measurable, sustainable improvements in health.

ACUPUNCTURE AND ORIENTAL MEDICINE

Corinne Hutter holds a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, supported by a strong foundation in holistic and integrative healthcare. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Alternative Medicine from Everglades University and continued on to complete advanced training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Her journey into Eastern medicine began during her undergraduate studies, when a course in Chinese herbal medicine sparked a deep appreciation for the philosophy, clinical efficacy, and holistic approach of this ancient system. That initial spark evolved into a lifelong commitment to the study and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine—one that continues to shape both her personal and professional path.

As a dedicated member of the team at Copacetic Health Institute, Corinne plays a key role in supporting the clinic’s day-to-day operations while expanding her clinical knowledge and experience. She brings a calm, compassionate presence to her work and is deeply committed to whole-person healing.

Corinne believes in the power of integrative medicine to restore balance across body, mind, and spirit. She is passionate about supporting both patients and practitioners on their wellness journeys with care, insight, and purpose.

Nina Hwang, RN, is a Registered Nurse, Reiki Master, and masters student at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine, where she is pursuing her degree in Integrative Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University’s Rory Meyers College of Nursing, graduating with University Honors and induction into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

With over a decade of clinical experience, Ms. Hwang has worked in oncology nursing at leading medical institutions, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Moffitt Cancer Center. Her professional background encompasses infusion therapy, case management, and telehealth nursing across diverse patient populations.

Ms. Hwang’s transition to the field of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine reflects her continued dedication to patient care and holistic healing. Trained in both conventional and traditional modalities, she integrates evidence-based practice with a compassionate, whole-person approach to support balance, resilience, and well-being.

Smokee Whaley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of South Florida and is currently a masters student at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine. With a strong background in biomedical sciences and a passion for integrative health, she is pursuing advanced training in acupuncture and traditional medicine.

Combining the precision of Western science with the holistic principles of traditional medicine, Smokee is dedicated to promoting measured, personalized care. She is deeply committed to helping others achieving health through education, compassion, and integrative healing practices.
